How we met
The simplest answer to where it all began? “At a coffee shop.” But not just any coffee shop—Cacao was a late-night spot where cheap coffee flowed and smoking indoors was the norm after 10 PM. It was the perfect hideaway from life’s demands, buzzing with laughter and friends.
Dylan drifted in and out of Cacao for years as a “traveling mural artist”. Madison discovered it on Christmas night when her friends were looking for something to do, quickly turning it into her second home. One night, after a break from Cacao, Dylan returned. Madison spotted him, asked her friends who he was, and without a second thought, stood up to introduce herself—interrupting his conversation. They then briefly “dated”.
Their connection waned, but remained friendly over the years. Fast forward twelve years, and both found themselves swiping on Tinder. Then they matched with a familiar face. A few days later, they met for dinner at Spago in Beverly Hills. Dylan had a solid life plan, while Madison was done with aimless guys. From that night on it just clicked, they were inseparable and ready to embrace life together.

I just had to know him.

The Proposal
It was a Monday, and Madison was deep into her usual complaint about back pain and medical bills while playing Sims 4 when Dylan walked in, flopped on the couch in her office, and casually said, "So I just got off the phone with my insurance… We can get you on my plan. It’ll cut our costs way down."
Madison looked up, distracted. "What?"
"We'll have to get married," Dylan said, not missing a beat.
Madison blinked. "Wait, did you just ask me to marry you?"
"Yep," he replied, continuing to scroll through his phone. "Anyway, back to the insurance—"
"Well, yes, of course I'll marry you," Madison said, standing up. "But give me a minute. I have to go have diarrhea."
Dylan stared. "Uh, okay...?"
“
She never ceases to make me laugh.
